For beef operations

Data-driven beef breeding — every detail in the palm of your hand.

Fattening groups, daily gain, feed-cost optimization, genomics, pastures on a map. The full beef production cycle in one mobile-first system.

On a beef farm, profit is decided at the two ends: feed cost and sale weight. DAISY measures and optimizes both. You know which bull gains above 1,500 g/day, which feed mix pays off, and you see ahead of time when a fattening group will reach its optimal slaughter weight.

Performance testing and fattening

Fattening groups with real-time performance measurement

Overseeing an on-farm performance-test (ÜSTV) group or a fattening group is not a spreadsheet job. In DAISY it is a live module: every weighing updates the average daily gain immediately, and you see the gain trend on a time chart.

  • Group-level and per-animal daily gain (g/day), with trend lines
  • Starting weight, closing weight, margin calculation with feed cost included
  • Mortality handling — animals that drop out stay in the margin calculation

LP optimizer in DAISY — optimal feed recipe and nutrient composition

LP optimizer

The feed mix, optimized down to cost

NASEM 2016 (beef) nutrient requirements, computed from your own feed stock and your own purchase prices. With the HiGHS linear-programming solver, DAISY works out which mix pays off — and how much you save with it.

  • Phase-specific nutrient requirements (growing heifer, starter, finisher)
  • Stock-weighted LP — it accounts for what is actually in your warehouse
  • Supplier prices on record, quote requests to suppliers, automated stock and purchasing management.

Genomics

A sire is more than a number in the registry

Pedigree, validated breeding values and genomic traits on one animal card. At mating time there are no papers to dig up — DAISY already knows each sire’s risks and strengths.

  • Four-generation pedigree in a single view
  • Breeding-value certificate validity, with expiry warnings
  • Mating plan with a selection list: relatedness, calving ease, calf weaning weight and genomic results all weighed in, automatically.

Locations and pasture

Your farm on a map — every herd in its place

See your locations on a map. Every paddock is drawn as its own polygon — you see where each herd is, how much area it is grazing right now, how loaded the section is, and how long it has been resting.

  • Polygon editor — draw your paddock boundaries yourself
  • Herd rotation across pastures and paddocks with automatic alerts, and a rest period you can set per paddock in advance
  • The grazing journal fills itself — meeting the official record-keeping requirements
